Does it Hurt?

Yes it does. You are having a sharp object pierce your skin. Everyone’s pain levels and receptors are different so some may feel more pain than others. The pain you feel is extremely quick and does not last – no more painful than getting a shot or getting pinched.

What type of Jewelry do you use?

I pierce with strictly ASTM F-136 implant grade titanium. This also explains the high cost of the piercing. The jewelry is expensive; however, it is hypoallergenic and will decrease the likelihood of jewelry induced infection and other issues.

Do I have options in jewelry?

To start off you want the jewelry to be as simple as possible to promote good healing. Generally for most piercings I will start you off with CBR (ring); however, if you want a BB I can do that for an upgrade charge due to jewelry cost.

What is the healing time?

Every piercing and person is different. General healing time for piercings is 6 weeks up to a year (in the most extreme of cases)

Can I bring a friend for moral support?

Absolutely.. there is usually room in the space for one or two extra people. And a large lobby area if your friends are faint of heart...... refreshments, snacks and a TV set out to entertain any guest accompanying our clients.

I am afraid of needles but I want a piercing?

Unfortunately there is not much I can say about this. The difference between a piercing and a shot is that you will have something to show for the small amount of pain you go through.. Be brave, take deep breaths and it’ll be over before you know it.

How long until I can change jewelry?

You generally want to wait a minimum of 6 to 8 weeks before changing. I always recommend you come back to me for a quick check up. I am always more than happy to change jewelry if needed as well.

Can I still wear make up if I get a facial piercing?

It’s not recommended at all as the chemicals can get into the piercing and cause wound irritation. Also, with having make up covering the piercing it will not be able to breathe which is how it heals.

Can I still do physical activities after a piercing?

Yes and no. This will depend on what piercing you get but for a general response if you are just working out you absolutely can, you just want to be careful to make sure to not get the piercing caught on anything. If you are playing sports it is highly recommended to wait until the piercing has healed before continuing.
